Ming Mao, male, born in September 1962, is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chief Scientist of China North Industries Group, a researcher at the China North Vehicle Research Institute (201 Institute), China North Industries Group Corporation, and Chief Designer of the Type 99A Tank. He has long been engaged in theoretical research and engineering practice on the overall technology of tanks and armored vehicles. The Type 99A Main Battle Tank, whose development he presided over, has achieved world-advanced comprehensive performance. He serves as Chief Scientist of National Defense 973 Program and Head of the Expert Group for Advanced Design in Basic Research of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. He has won two First Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and one First Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, published 3 books and more than 80 papers, obtained 18 national invention patents, and was awarded the Ho Leung Ho Lee Prize for Science and Technology Innovation.

Peihua Gu, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), and Chang Jiang Scholars Chair Professor of the Ministry of Education, is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tianjin University, Director of the Emerging Engineering Education Center, and President of the International Institute for Innovative Design and Intelligent Manufacturing of Tianjin University in Zhejiang. He studied in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tianjin University from 1977 to 1982 and received his Ph.D. from McMaster University in Canada in 1990. He is mainly engaged in research on advanced design methods, key technologies for intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent manufacturing systems. He proposed and established the adaptable design method and invented multi-material and multi-process 3D printing technology. He has published more than 300 papers, which have been cited over 15,000 times on Google Scholar. He has received numerous honors, including the Gold Medal of the China Design Contribution Award and the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Shouqian Sun, born in August 1963, Ph.D., is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Zhejiang University and a Senior Visiting Scholar at Delft University of Technology. He currently serves as Director of the Modern Industrial Design Institute, Zhejiang University, Director of the Design Science Discipline Degree Committee of Zhejiang University, Member of the Design Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Member of the Teaching Steering Committee for Design Disciplines in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Innovation Design Industry Strategic Alliance, and Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Design Intelligence and Digital Creativity. His main research areas include design theory and methods, intelligent wearable robotics, human-cyber-physical systems, and innovative design technologies and systems. He has won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the Gold Medal of the Guanghua Longteng China Design Contribution Award. He has published more than 100 papers indexed by EI/SCI and more than 10 books.

Bin Tian holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Master of Laws, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Tsinghua University. He was a visiting scholar at Sciences Po. He currently serves as Director of the Institute of Industrial Economy, Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, P.R.C. He concurrently serves as General Manager of Beijing Gongxin International Technology Development Co., Ltd., Chairman of Jingdezhen Creative Design Center Co., Ltd., Member of the National Aviation Industry International Cooperation Strategy Advisory Committee, Research Fellow at the Belt and Road Institute of Tsinghua University, and Research Fellow at the Center for Overseas Security, Tsinghua University. He was honored as one of the Top Ten Outstanding Youths in China's Design Industry by the Guanghua Longteng Award.

Tie Ji, born in October 1972, Ph.D., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. He graduated from the Department of Industrial Design of Hunan University in 1993 and stayed on to teach there. He has studied at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Politecnico di Milano in Italy, and University College London in the United Kingdom. He currently serves as Dean of the School of Design, Hunan University, Member of the 8th Design Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Secretary-General of the Industrial Design Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, and Director of the Key Laboratory of Digital Cultural and Creative Intelligent Design Technology, Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He is a Changjiang Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education (2020), an expert enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, and a Distinguished Professor under the Furong Scholars Program of Hunan Province. He has received multiple honors including the First Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and the First Prize of the Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences) of the Ministry of Education. He has published 7 monographs and more than 70 papers, and his works have won more than 30 professional awards including the Red Dot Award and the G-Mark Award.

Jun Feng, male, born in 1966, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a research fellow. He graduated from the Department of Aircraft Engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1988, majoring in Aircraft Strength Design. He currently serves as Vice President of the AVIC The First Aircraft Institute, Director of the National Industrial Design Center, and Chief Scientist of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. He serves as Chief Designer for Structures and Chief Designer for Materials of the Y-20, responsible for structural design and material development in the development of the large transport aircraft. He has been awarded the National May 1st Labor Medal and the Feng Ru Aviation Science and Technology Elite Award. In 2023, he was included in the list of valid candidates for the co-option of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Cong Ye, male, Han ethnicity, born in November 1979 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is a research fellow. He currently serves as Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Ship Scientific Research Center, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, Chief Designer of the Fendouzhe full-ocean-depth manned submersible, and a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He previously served successively as Chief Designer and Chief Pilot of Jiaolong, Deputy Chief Designer of Shenhai Yongshi (Deep Sea Warrior), and Chief Designer of Fendouzhe. He has completed nearly 100 dives and personally experienced and witnessed the development of China's manned deep diving from nothing to something and from shallow to deep. He has been awarded titles such as National Outstanding Communist Party Member and "Manned Deep Diving Hero." The Fendouzhe full-ocean-depth manned submersible won the Special Prize of the 2025 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
