2023 4th International Conference on Intelligent Design (ICID 2023) successfully held

On October 21st, under the guidance of the China Innovation Design Industry Strategic Alliance, the 4th International Conference on Intelligent Design (ICID 2023) was successfully held at Xi’an Innovation Design Center. This event was hosted by the Silk Road Innovation Industry Alliance, the Management Committee of Xi’an Beilin University-based Innovation Industrial District, the Science and Technology Bureau in Beilin District, Xi’an, and Xi’an Design Union.

The conference was strongly supported by Xi’an Science and Industrial Design Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and co-organized by Institute of Modern Industrial Design of Zhejiang University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Northwest A&F University, Xidian University, Chang’an University, Xi’an Technological University, Xi’an University of Technology, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology, Xi’an University of Science and Technology, Xi’an Polytechnic University, Xi’an Shiyou University, Shaanxi Fashion Engineering University, Lanzhou University of Technology, Shenzhen Technology University, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Xihua University, University of Science and Technology Liaoning, Shenyang Jianzhu University, Shaanxi Industrial Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Research Center on Seeking Development and Reform. It also received technical support from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

This conference serves as a platform for fostering exchange and collaboration in the field of intelligent design while delving into its applications and emerging trends across diverse sectors. Furthermore, it aligns with the broader initiative of “Creating Science and Technology in Xi’an,” a vital endeavor aimed at propelling innovation and entrepreneurship in Xi’an. As a key component of this effort, the conference plays a pivotal role in enhancing the ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship, fostering scientific and technological advancements, and contributing positively to economic development.

The conference was hosted by the Silk Road Innovation Industry Alliance, the Management Committee of Xi’an Beilin University-based Innovation Industrial District, the Science and Technology Bureau in Beilin District, Xi’an, and the Xi’an Design Union. Experts, scholars, and engineers from the Netherlands, Malaysia, Japan, and China in design fields were invited to impart their unique insights within these fields and share the latest research results and practical experiences in the field of artificial intelligence and design.

Ning Ding, a professor and doctoral supervisor at Xi’an Jiaotong University and a national high-level talent expert, gave a report entitled “Generative Big Language Model”

Zhanxi Wang, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Digital Special Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center and an associate professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University, gave a report entitled “Configuration Design Technology of Aerospace Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment”

Scientific Research Exchange

Themed on design and future, the scientific research exchange conference focused on intelligent design, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent systems, and intelligent services, and explored the design theory and research methods of intelligent products and systems. Authors of conference papers also shared design experiences, explored research methods, and displayed learning results.

2023 4th International Conference on Intelligent Design has established a high-quality international academic exchange and cooperation platform for scholars and practitioners in the field of intelligent design, linking the paths among science and technology, talents, industry, service, and innovation, stimulating the innovation vitality of researchers in colleges and universities, promoting the innovation and application of intelligent design technology, and fostering the development of the intelligent design industry. It contributes to Xi’an’s strength to realize self-reliance and innovation-driven high-quality development in high-level technology in China!

       10月21日，在中国创新设计产业战略联盟指导下，由丝绸之路创新设计产业联盟、西安市碑林环大学创新产业带管委会、西安市碑林区科学技术局、西安设计联合会主办的第四届智能设计国际会议(ICID 2023 4th International Conference on Intelligent Design）在西安创新设计中心圆满召开。

       本会议获得西安市科学技术局、中国机械工程学会工业设计分会的大力支持，由浙江大学现代工业设计研究所、西安交通大学、西北工业大学、西北农林科技大学、西安电子科技大学、长安大学、西安工业大学、西安理工大学、西安建筑科技大学、陕西科技大学、西安科技大学、西安工程大学、西安石油大学、陕西服装工程学院、兰州理工大学、深圳技术大学、武汉科技大学、西华大学、辽宁科技大学、沈阳建筑大学、陕西省工业设计研究院有限公司、陕西求索发展改革研究中心协办，并获得IEEE（电气和电子工程师协会）技术支持！

       会议旨在促进智能设计领域的交流与合作，探讨智能设计在各个领域的应用和发展趋势。本次会议也是”科创西安”活动之一，是西安促进创新创业的重要举措，为促进创新创业环境的发展，推动科技创新和经济发展起到积极的作用。

       荷兰瓦赫宁根大学、马来西亚敦胡先翁大学、日本县立广岛大学、西安交通大学、西北工业大学、浙江大学、湖南大学、华中科技大学、北京理工大学、浙江工业大学、武汉理工大学、汕头大学、西安电子科技大学、西安建筑科技大学、西安工程大学、西安工业大学、西安石油大学、宝鸡文理学院、陕西科技大学、西安科技大学、西安明德理工学院、河北省科学院应用数学研究所等国内外高校、企业、设计研究院所代表130余人参加此次会议。

       会议由丝绸之路创新设计产业联盟、西安市碑林环大学创新产业带管委会、西安市碑林区科学技术局、西安设计联合会主办。会议特邀荷兰、马来西亚、日本以及来自国内外设计领域的专家、学者和工程师分享他们在设计领域的独到见解，共同分享人工智能与设计领域的最新研究成果和实践经验。

       科研交流分享会议以设计与未来为主题，聚焦智能设计、智能制造、智能系统以及智能服务，针对智能产品与系统的设计理论与研究方法等问题进行了交流和探讨。会议论文作者也将分享、交流设计实践，探讨研究方法，展示学习成果。

       第四届智能设计国际会议为智能设计领域的学者和从业人员搭建了一个高质量的国际学术交流与合作的平台，链接科技、人才、产业、服务与创新的路径，激发高校院所科研人员创新活力，推动智能设计技术的创新和应用，促进智能设计产业的发展。为实现我国高水平科技自立自强和创新驱动高质量发展贡献西安力量！
